Pool had a rough start to the season and it seems it is continuing. Quick history of how season started, used motor oil was poured into pool, pump was off while I got the clean up going, new pig mats. Developed some algae at this time, started up pump and added Pool first aid and algaecide, shocking. Back on track now. Went out of town for 2 days 1.5 wks. ago and I forgot to turn on inline chlorinator, pool was cloudy. Check my numbers and ran it out of FC, started shocking.

Shocking the pool helped but not sparkling water, so I started the salm process yesterday, i lost 1.5ppm from last nights test.

My question is about the iron and cooper, never had this in 17 years. Did the treatment for the motor oil and algae give me the metals? Pool store told me to add Jacks magic magenta stuff, but the info on label does not say for metals??? Fiberglass pool
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
