cloudy water - chemicals ok

Hi All

I re-filled my spa about 6 weeks ago. Got it balanced right away and levels have been good all along. About 4 days ago the water went cloudy for some reason. I've shocked it twice and added clarifier twice. It got about 50% better but still not clear. Levels are currently Br 3.5, pH 7.6, TA 20, CH 160. Any idea what could be causing this and how to resolve? The only out of the ordinary thing I can think of is that the day before it went cloudy the Br tested at 7.0 which is 2x - 3x higher than normal

Hey Steve! I see your post has been sitting unanswered for a couple days, so I wanted to help get it going. One thing that would help is for you to update your signature with your spa info (plaster, acrylic, etc) and equipment info. Also add to your sig which test kit you are using as all of the advice you get here will be reflected from accurate testing. We don't want to send you on a wild goose chase with bad numbers. Lastly, is this a new spa? Have you done an Ahh-Some treatment recently?

Thanks for the response. I updated my signature. After shocking and adding clarifier 4 days in a row, the water went back clear. Still no idea why it went cloudy. The spa is only a few months old. I purged with Ahhsome after the first month.
