Chlorine
Liquid Chlorine
4000gal fiberglass pool, 30" sand filter using glass media, UV light. Heavy bather load. I work with dogs.
Finally got chlorine to hold. Here are my numbers
FC - 7
CC - .50
PH - 7.2
TA - 90
Calcium - 200
CyA - 48

Water still cloudy. Lots of bubbles coming from inlets. Pool guy came out and couldn't find anything wrong. He put clarifier in pool.

After much research, suspected a problem with spider gasket. I was correct. Replaced gasket.

Water looks good on low pump speed. When pump speed is on high, water clouds up and lots of bubbles.

Having trouble uploading video. Will try from my phone.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Bubbles from the return jets is indicative of a suction side air leak. Air getting into the system anywhere from the skimmer to the pump. See the link below for more tips. Hopefully that clarifier was vacuumed to waste or it may have compromised the filter media. I recall your CYA thread and the issues you have with a large swimmers load of 50+ dogs weekly, so your situation is a bit unusual. But I'm surprised your CYA is close to 50 now with an indoor pool when it used to be closer to 30. It didn't need to be that high, but now that it is, you have plenty of room to increase the FC level quite a bit more (safely). With a current CYA of 50, you can take the FC up to 20 per the FC/CYA Levels. That should help with the cloudiness. I remember we discussed your concerns about following the SLAM Process due to the dogs and your heavy schedule, so a water exchange is always an option like before.

Having trouble inserting video.

My pool guy can’t figure it out. I am going to have a plumber look at it.

There doesn’t seem to be any evidence of leak at pump. Had someone run water on plug and lid but bubbles were still present in pool.

That is a lot of air blowing-in from the return jet. There has to be a suction air gap (leak) somewhere from the skimmer to the pump. If you are 100% sure all possible connections, valves, seals, etc have been thoroughly inspected above ground level at the equipment pad, then it may be time to have a professional do a pressure test on the lines for a leak.

Have a plumber coming to check it out. My pool guy doesn't seem to think there is a problem. Will need to look for another pool experty.
Thanks!
