I have been fighting a cloudy pool issue most of the summer. I have been keeping a excel log of reading and what I did. This started in May15, 2017 (6 months after draining and refilling the whole pool.

I am currently working on the theroy that my problem is the High CYA ( 8/18 it was 100). The pool is cloudy and light green at times. Since the 18th I have removed the Triclor tables and am using liquid chlorine to keep the FC higher because of the high CYA. How I am reducing the CYA is by draining the pool a foot every week (we are in the middle of summer high use time). I currently am using polusheen blue (3oz. every 48 hrs) to try and clarify the water and am adding Cellulose Fiber (3 cups) to the filter after every back wash every 48 hrs. I am running the pumps full (3400rpm) 24/7. In June I replaced the sand in my filter even though I did not think it was the problem but thought I'd try that. It has cleared a few times for a few days. My focus on lowering the CYA has been for about a week and increasing the chlorine level to the Chlorine/CYA chart has changed the light green to w off white. Water seems to be clearing up but I seen that before. Any thought as to what I am doing or what else I can do?
