Hi All! Just started using the TF pool methods full time this year. Pool has been crystal clear all year, but after a recent thunderstorm pool turned cloudy and used up all my FC overnight. I have since did a SLAM and pool remains cloudy. I have been backwashing every 12 hours and did a thorough vacuum to waste this afternoon. Not much debris on the bottom. Do I just need to be patient and let the sand filter do its job? I can see all the way to the bottom, small haze remains. Been running the pump 24/7.
Pool is 24’ round above ground with liquid chlorine and 1 1/2 Hp pump.

FC- 16
Overnight chlorine test - 0 lost
CC- 0
PH- 7.5
CYA - about 70
TA- 80

Thanks for reading!

Continue the SLAM, it will clear the pool. Sand filters just take longer. You might decide to add DE to help you out. POOL DE only.

Thanks for the reassurance! I’ve been thinking about adding DE, slightly apprehensive though.
