Cloudy green pool STILL

A siphon works well on an ABG pool. Depending on your property and were the water is going. Are you in a city, rural, farm, ?? Are there restrictions on were you can drain?

I'm in a village technically. I have a half acre of land but it's long and narrow so neighbors are close. No sidewalks, we have a drainage ditch.

How close is the drainage ditch? Is it downhill from the pool? Search 'siphon'.

It's probably about 100 feet. Our land is pretty flat. We have a pump that you submerge underwater to drain areas. We bought when our basement flooded a few years ago. Could that work?

A sump pump will work. It will be pretty slow with a 100' hose. Are you on sewer service? How close is the cleanout for that?

We do not have sewer, we are hooked up to the city system for that.

OK -- normally a city system is a sewer system.

Find the best place you can drain to. See what rate the sump pump can give you. You can set up a siphon if you wish at the same time. Do not drain too far down as the pool needs water to remain stable.
