After 5 weeks of a clear pool and a week of drenching rain, yesterday we could not see the drain on the deep end. Today we have a Green pool. Please help..
Our readings for yesterday are:
FC 4
PH 7.6
Cc .5
TC 4.5
TA 80
CYA 40

Lower your pH to 7.2 with muriatic acid and follow the SLAM level FC for your CYA - FC/CYA Levels

Were you adding chlorine all week in the rain to maintain that FC level? Or is that after is stopped raining and you added some chlorine?

Hi, Yes, we were adding chlorine all week in the rain that’s why we were shocked. We are starting the Slam today, had to get more supplies. Thank you for getting in touch, really appreciate your help.

Hi, I’m back. It took 7 days for the Slam. We been having heavy rainfall again. We put in what it calls for from the test. Our numbers look okay, but today we have some green algae starting.
Here are our number today:
FC 6.5
PH 7.5
TA 80
CYA 40

Temp: 83
Also we have ducks having their midnight swim and also at Daybreak. Thanks for your help in advance. Lorraine

If you are seeing algae growth, then you need to follow the SLAM process again. You passed the 3 tests to stop before?
Did you ever let the FC drop below the minimum for your CYA?

We passed the 3 tests to stop the Slam. Yes it did drop that’s why we did the Slam.
