cleaning cartridge filter, how often?

By the recommendations I’ve seen on TFP on how often to clean the filter, my cartridge filter is definitely due for a cleaning, however the pressure gauge is still reading 10 PSI when the pump is at 2500 RPM.

If my water is clear and pressure looks fine, should I wait until it rises or go ahead and clean it now?

Run the pump full speed, or 3000 on a VSP. Note filter pressure. When pressure rises 25% above clean, clean them again. What was your clean filter pressure?
340sqft on a 9000 gallon pool may well go the season without cleaning. We have some 30K pools on 420s can go the season (where you close the pool), or twice a year for those that stay open.

A lot depends on environmental conditions, dust, dirt, pollen, robot/no robot, trees/no trees, skimmer socks etc. <-- @NaCLTPool
