Chorine level off the charts

Most of us don't even bother with the chlorine side of the blue box test. It's really only good for a sanity check that "Yes, there is chlorine in the pool".

Does that chart make sense to you?

Just remember that this 'special' way of doing the test, is only for now. Once you get your CYA down, you will want to switch to the other sample sizes.

Thanks, drained more water CYA is now 70 and chlorine is in line. I shut off my inline chlorinator, am going to go buy some bleach or liquid chlorine to keep it in line. Should I pour the chlorine into the pool spreading it around or in the filter basket? Thanks, all.

Pour it slowly in front of a return. I have 5 returns and a wide sheer decent in the deep end and just add a little in front of each one.

Generally we prefer not adding any chemicals directly to the skimmer basket.

In the pool, in front of a return. Pump needs to be running. Pour it kinda slow so it gets mixed good.
