Chlorine usage

Hey everyone, going into my 2nd year as a pool owner. Thanks for all the help in the past!

Today I'm just wanting to do a sanity check on my chlorine usage.

I'm going through about 2.5 gals of 12.5% chlorine a week.

Pool is 13.5 gal plaster in ground.

And I'm in Phoenix so it's hot and sunny!

Does my usage sound like it's in the right ballpark?

Thanks!

Yes. If my math is correct, that is 45 ounces per day. So that adds 2.6 ppm FC per day. It will go up as we get into June to 3 ppm or a bit more (my pool tends to want 4 ppm or a bit more each day in summer).

My pool is slightly bigger and I use about 2 gallons/week. But mine gets little use, and when it does, it's only two adults. And my yard is small and surrounded by a cinderblock wall so I don't get a lot of blown-in debris. So your use seems reasonable.
