Chlorine puck feeder question

Helping someone clear a swamp pool. We've vacuumed all the silt out, shocked out all the ammonia, vacuumed more, slammed the pool continually and we are getting close to switching back to a puck feeder. they have a bucket of leslies 3" tabs and what appears to be a pentair model #320 feeder. The pool is about 21,500 gallons and we have balanced the pool, I have a taylor test kit and have had a pool for 15 yrs but I use a SWG. My question is how many pucks should I put in the feeder and roughly Where should I set the dial on the feeder to start with? I'm in SE Texas so it is as hot as fire and occasional heavy rain if that matters much.

Every pool and feeder is different. Fill the feeder full with pucks. Start on 5 and adjust based on FC tests.

What is their current CYA?

I'm not sure that will be possible for them, but maybe.
Then they will need to replace about 1/3 of the water when they get to about 70 CYA. At levels above about 60 CYA, it becomes difficult to maintain enough FC to sanitize the pool. They will end up with a swamp again.

Approx. 21,500
Start with 6 and see what happens.
