I have a SWG currently, and it works fine in terms of producing chlorine. But my pH is always creeping up, so I'm constantly adding muriatic. Kinda defeats the purpose of having an automated chlorine producer when I just have to battle pH instead.

Are liquid feeders worth the money? I'd love to be able to fully automate my chemistry so I can just enjoy my pool instead of having to pull out the Taylor every couple days.

Even with an automated setup, you'll still want to test FC and pH every few days.

That's fair. My previous pool was much more naturally balanced than the one I have now. I didn't have to mess with it much. This one is two years old and has been a real pain. Just trying to optimize my time.

I have an SWG and have had the Hayward Sense & Dispense and Stenner Acid pump and tank connected to my ProLogic system since 2012. It keeps the pH rock solid. My tank is a 15 gallon tank. I add some water and acid to it a couple of times over the summer.

A couple of weeks ago I had a problem with the Stenner pump. When I took it apart, I discovered several things that needed to be replaced. Rather than replacing parts, I ordered a new pump. Well, that week waiting for the new pump gave me a real appreciation for the automated pH monitoring and acid injection. I would dump some acid in the pool and then watch the pH slowly rise over about 2 days. Then, add more acid and repeat.

I installed the replacement pump within an hour of it being delivered.
