Chlorine at 8 ppm--too high for Polyquat ?

I am closing my pool in 2 days and still have to drain it. My Chlorine is at 8 ppm. I have some Polyquat. Is that too high to use Polyquat ?
EDIT: Nevermind, I am at 8 PPM and my slam level is 24.
It seems I need to add a bit of chlorine to come up to half SLAM.

8 is fine. The FC does not need to be that exact.
