Check valves

Hello, I am installing a new pump and check valves. Can I install the 2 Jandy 7305 180 degree check valves horizontally? Thanks.

Yes. You really just don't want to have them vertically going down so that the spring is Fighting Gravity

I suppose you also wouldn't want to with them horizontally upside down either

Sure. If the water can flow in that direction the check valve can operate.

No, just wanted to be sure. I am replacing the old type Ortaga valves and did not have enough room if they were to be mounted vertically. Thanks for the help.
