Hello from the Lowcountry,

After a lot of research, several interviews, and finally three quotes we signed a contract yesterday for a fiberglass pool install set to start in early January. This dream is a long time in the making and we are excited to be moving forward! We included a heat/chill unit and hope to get 10 months or more use here on the SC coast. If anyone has any insight on how realistic this is, please chime in.

Maybe there will be a test kit in my stocking this year...

Cheers!

We're in Pawleys with a smallish 13' x 28' FG freeform with heat/cool. We 'opened' this year (never really close in the true sense, HP is off and it's covered for the off season, chlorine and chem levels maintained) at the end of March and won't 'close' until around December 1st. It depends a bit on the variable, and usually beautiful, spring and fall weather, of course, here in the 'deep south'. We maintain about 89 degrees.

Great info, thanks! Our pool is/will be 12x35, so only a bit larger than yours - overall a very good comparison.
