Changing my Aqualink old laggy PDA to something newer

Where are you seeing this? They still sell the different Aqualink setups at Jandy so not sure how that would work. Does the kit include the new RS PCB board? The picture shows everything but the smaller PCB board that has the feature set on it.

It almost looks like it doesn't include the feature set PCB and they expect you to use your existing PCB. It also needs the correct "shared/single/dual" feature set.


No. Look at the part number on that link. That sheet references the IQ30-A, which is just the iAqualink J-box. We're all telling him to buy the iQ30-RS, which is the entire kit and includes the PCB. That sheet does not include conversion kits, which is what Jandy considers the iQ30-RS to be:

I will rephrase my initial post and say that for anyone with RS8 or below (which is the overwhelming majority of residential Aqualink installs) the iQ-30RS kit will "just work". For the RS12-RS32, you would need to ensure you're on the latest firmware (T or above) and buy the iQ-30A interface/j-box.
