I've recently replaced my jacuzzi magnum 1.5 hp pump with a 3hp pump from dohenys. Harris HPE002 Inground VS Variable Speed Pool Pump, 3 HP - Doheny's Pool Supplies Fast My original pump had threaded fittings but they seemed like a different thread than the new pump. The new pump came with fittings so it wasnt a big deal but I don't like the one connection I made and would like to have a set of fittings on deck. Are these fitting npt thread? or proprietary? Dohenys website only say they are 2 inch threaded.
Next question is what does everyone do for the winter with a vs pump. I'm in jersey so we will get some snow and it seems like that module on top should stay dry. It can be removed relatively easy but not sure about leaving the pvc pipes loose and hanging.
Any advice is appreciated.
