Recent test results on the same sample changed substantially after 6 hours. Chlorine levels dropped, FC 10 to 8, pH increased from 7.2 to 8.2. using drop test , 7.9 to 8.5 using a meter. While tests are normally run within a few minutes using the TFT test kit, when samples are taken to Pool store tests might be several hours after samples are taken. I have not seen any info on changes that might be expected.

 Welcome to TFP!!!

This is not surprising. The chlorine and the pH are the 2 that are more likely the change. Most other parameters are just dissolved solids, so I suppose in the extreme if there was a lot of evaporation from the sample, those values would be higher too.

Just another reason not to waste the time and gas to go to the pool store for their inaccurate, inconsistent, and highly profitable testing.
Do your own testing at home with on the of the recommended test kits, and your wallet and pool with be better off.
