Hi All,

See pics for damage to cement coping after 19 years. 2 main spots - most of the coping OK. I'm wondering if anyone has used some kind of clear, spray-on product that can seal it as it is and prevent it from getting worse. I could live with that for now.

Also, if not what I am wondering above, what solutions have worked best for you?

Thanks!

Jeff

You can see in the pics where the concrete is cracked and deteriorating all around that area.

Every winter water will get into the cracks and freeze and make it worse.

Start saving to replace the deck when you cannot live with it any longer.

You have cantilevered coping. Make sure whoever you hire to replace it knows how to construct the new deck to maintain the expansion joint.

Any ideas on interventions for now? Patching or coatings/sprays?
