Can't see the bottom

I went out of town and left the pool on care of family members. It was a little cloudy when I got home and now after a week it keeps getting worse. Wondering if I should go ahead and slam?
Cl- 3.5 brought it up to 6
Cc - 0
Ph - keeps drifting up to 7.8 and more
Cya- 50
Alk- 70
