Can't get Special Lights to show up in Screenlogic

Hello,

I recently had new LED lights installed. I set up screen logic on my phone and PC. I can connect with no problem. I still can't seem to get the lights figured out. I can turn them off/on and sometimes by sheer luck I can get them to go into color change mode. I want to be able to control them more precisely, so I started poking around in the configuration on the PC app. I have read various posts on this site but where I always hit a wall is on the Setup Circuits page, I do not have the Intellibrite option and the Special Lights button is greyed out no matter what circuit function I choose.

Controller Model Easy Touch 1.8
Firmware 1.050
Adapter POOL: 5.2 Build 738.0 Rel

If anyone can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

Is it possible to control all the light options from the app once I get this figured out? I was expecting a much more sophisticated interface after seeing the cost of these new lights...

thanks
Bobby

Welcome to TFP Bobby.

You have a very old EasyTouch system with a version 1 board. You need to update your board to be able to control your new lights. If you want to do that I suggest you look at the IntelliCenter upgrade.

This is what I was afraid of. Thank you for the info. Does it make more sense to simply put in a new intellicenter system vs upgrading this old system?
The IntelliCenter gives you a new upper board and you use your existing cabinet, relays, circuit breakers and wiring. It depends on the condition of the stuff you keep if it also needs a refresh.

Do you have GFCI CBs for your pumps?

Post a pic of your Easytouch system with the front panel off showing the wiring.

Based on your advice I went ahead and installed the upgrade kit. Now all the light features are there, thank you.

On a side note if anyone needs a Screenlogic wifi kit let me know. It's only a few months old. I no longer need it since the upgrade kit came with it's own.

thank you
