The answer is generally “yes you can” BUT there are critical placement/orientation details that must be followed and you absolutely need a means of ensuring that the SWG never runs without the pump running beyond just using a flow switch.
You want to wire the power for the SWG to the load side of your pool pump timer. That way the SWG only receives power when the pump does. You’ll also want to chose a model SWG that uses a flow switch. CircuPool SWGs tend to have the largest output and best warranty for DIY installs.
