Any idea if the Leslies pool pH test kit can be used to test the pH of urine; not “urine in the pool water” but rather a medical-like urine sample often done via test strips at home? Or is it really just formulated for water solutions? Thank you

The pool pH kit only tests for pH in the 7’s.

The average urine sample tests at about 6.0, but typical urine pH may range from 4.5–8.0.

Urine is actually a “water liquid” , it’s over 90% water. The indicator used in test strips is a combination of methyl red and bromothymol blue so that it can get the correct range. The pH test for pool water is phenol red and has too narrow a range.
