Longing story short; very busy spring. Pool guy stopped showing up. Green pool.
I’m pretty confident in my plumbing work and pool cleaning abilities, but I have a question about vacuuming to waste. I have a push/pull valve and a have a Hayward 4820 DE filter that I just did a deep clean on this morning to prep for the vacuuming of the (currently dying) algae in the pool. It will clog in 20 minutes if I vacuum it up and I’ll have to start again- unless I don’t put the grids back in, set the valve to backwash, and just send it all out…. Right?
Is this idea nuts? Obviously I will need to refill the pool over the course of this.
What else am I missing?
