Can I replace my coverstar auto rope?

We have a broken rope on our Coverstar pool cover. Is it possible to replace the rope ourselves? If anyone has done this and can share pictures, or instructions...we would greatly appreciate it!! Our pool is four years old. Our installer quoted us a price of $950.00.

First off, breaking a rope after 4 years means something is wrong. Ropes should last as long as the cover itself. Barring that, changing a rope isn't "real hard" but it's also not "real easy". There are video's out there and replacing a rope on any manufacturer is basically the same. I'd search in You Tube.

That's painfully about what I paid after 6 years when one broke. I wasn't comfortable with the procedure from what I recall seeing. I agree that it didn't seem real easy.
