Can a pressure cleaner port be (easily) replumbed for suction?

Just curious if anyone as done that. I am probably done with pressure side cleaners and probably migrating away from robots. Might try suction-side but I think things work better with a dedicated line and I have the pressure side polaris-style port in the pool already.

Most pressure side lines are fairly small and would not work but if it is as least 2", then it might work ok.

If it is 1.5" at the equipment pad, most are, then yes. A 3-way valve and some plumbing is all it usually takes.

That's it. Connect, with a valve, to the suction line. Will ned to close the valve for spa use. Your automation should be able to do that.
