Calling water experts

Is my pool filled with plain ketoade?
WHUT, YOU MEAN... WATER? LIKE... OUT OF THE TOILET? Brawndo's got electrolytes. That's what pools crave.

1/16 - 1/8 of a teaspoon of mortons lite salt to a glass of water & a squirt of mio or similar flavor enhancer. I drink 3-4 glasses of this a day.
Yeah, you're probably juuuuuust fine. I'm kindof curious to know what "lite" salt is... Does it have fewer calories and reduced sodium? :ROFLMAO: Salt and water are the two things your body runs out of first that it can't produce. It's almost like a few million years ago in the ocean we grew kidneys to get rid of the massive amounts of sodium and water we constantly ingested.... then crawled out onto dry land but kept the kidneys...

My doctor sent me to an endocrinologist a few years back because I was just slamming water and always thirsty and peeing several litres a day. They thought I had diabetes. I was doing a lot of hiking and mountaineering at the time and the specialist was one of those weirdos that does the 100 mile ultra marathons in Death Valley or whatever. He asked, "How much salt do you eat?" "Almost none, like they say you're supposed to." "Oh. You just need to eat more salt." "Won't that make my already borderline-high blood pressure go up?" "No, you're constantly dehydrated and that's what's causing your high numbers. Just eat more salt when you feel like it, you'll be fine, and you'll be less thirsty." I started carrying a container of salt on hikes with a 1/2 tsp scoop. Anytime we stopped I'd slam a scoop of salt, swish and wash it down with water. It's an intense experience. Even after gaining 30 lbs during COVID my blood pressure is still normal.

Morton’s Lite salt is roughly 1/2 potassium 1/2 salt - it’s just an easy way to get in multiple electrolytes for people on keto (or anyone really) & way cheaper than buying gatorade/powerade zero. It was designed for people on low salt diets - most salt substitutes contain potassium. I have never really consumed enough sodium but now since i no longer eat processed foods my sodium intake is even lower. Where i live we have pretty good “toilet water “ 🤣🤣. We’ve been pretty busy w/ volleyball but today i will perform my scientific experiment 🧪 !

A little late posting ⏰
but the results are in 🧪 …..
My thrice daily glass 🥤 of ketoade contains 1400ppm of sodium chloride 🧂 if i were to replace that with regular salt instead of lite salt (which some do) it would be closer to 2800 ppm which has always roughly been my pool’s salt level until recently. Take this uncontrolled experiment with a grain of salt 🧂🤣🤣🤣🤣
