Anyone know anything about Calimar pools? Today I found out my yard can support a 30ft round pool, and I don't need to do a Oval unless I want to. I was going to go with a 18'x34' Doughboy, because I did not think a big round pool and deck would fit, in my yard.

Anyhow I found out Doughboy does not make a 30ft, next sizes are a 28ft or 33ft. After finding out that, I went to the last pool store in my city and found something I really like but I only like it because I think it looks good lol. Its a 30ft Calimar Coronado Pool, the sale guy told me it is made by H.l.l which owns Doughboy Lomart and CaliMar. He said he likes the warranty more on the Calimar then the Doughboy but its not Lifetime like the Doughboy, but it is built just like the the Doughboys are, and has a lot of the same parts.

Its Warranty is
Year 1-8 full
year 9 is 65%
year 10-20 is 70%
year 21-30 is 75%

Doughboys pools are
Year 1-3 full
year 4 is 55%
year 5 is 60%
year 6-10 is 65%
year 11-15 is 70%
year 16+ is 75%

I did do a search but could not really find anything about the pools this company makes.[/FONT]

Here is some information I found about Calimar pools. I wouldn't worry too much about the warranty differences, however if you plan to use a saltwater chlorine generator(swg), then you need to pick a different pool as an swg will void the warranty. A quick review of the liturature shows the Calimar pools listed as resin are actually resin hybrids, resin top rails with steel walls, uprights, and bottom rails.

Zea3 thanks for the links, and the info. I really would like to go with a salt water system, but I have been unable to find any stores that sells a AGP that will work with a salt system. I could order something online, the only place online I have found is The Pool Factory, know of any others I could look at?

I would love to find a pool with all of these traits.
Good quality
Can be partially buried
Deep end
salt water

Well I really want to go with a 30' Calimar pool, but I think I will be going with 28ft doughboy pool. I wanted to built a pool kit, but a lot of this stuff is over my head, so I might be better off just buying a full package and if I don't like something replace it later on down the road.

The other thing is the doughboy pools can go up to 7ft/80inch deep, and it looks like the expandable liners for the Calimar can go do 5ft/60". I did find two websight that list a 30ft round Hoffinger liner, that can do 7ft/80inches, but I have found the same brand and same color liner on a few other webpages that say max is 60" so i'm a bit lost.

It could be that all the Hoffinger expander liners can do 7' but only doughboy is able to advertise it as 7'
