Usually if things don’t clear up after a few slam rounds I say just purge,drain & start over.
I think you caught it early enough that you’ll be ok though.
Make it easy for your wife or whoever to dose upon exiting the tub. If I am not around to test & dose I just have my family add 2oz of lc. - that’s close to 8ppm in my tub. It doesn’t happen often that they use it when I am away but it’s enough fc to cover things until my return usually even if it was a heavy bather load.

Noticing FC dropping 4FC every 12 hours or so. CC is at 1.5.

Should I leave it uncovered for a while. I thought I read some place that UV can help with CC

Maybe a false alarm. Wife and I risked the higher than normal FC and used the tub for 20 minutes. tested 3x after and I got FC of 9.5 and CC of .5. Could be lower was the most faint pint. Could Barley tell.

Curious why the FC didn't drop at all.

Uv does help with cc’s also just leaving the cover off allows them to escape.
Make sure you’re letting the reagent drop naturally. Don’t squeeze the bottle.
About a drop per second. Practice doing it this way every time until it’s second nature to be on that rhythm. It will ensure the most consistent results.
Also, Maybe ya’ll were squeaky clean?
