I see two different recommended calcium hardness levels on TPF:
220-350 ppm: ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry - Trouble Free Pool
350-550 ppm: What Are My Ideal Pool Levels? - Trouble Free Pool
The second and higher range is from what appears to be a newer TFP website page.
Anyway, can someone please explain the discrepancy and confirm the ideal range? Have the recommended levels changed over time, and if so, why?
