I’m new to this forum so bear with me. I have a 36k liner pool that turned green over the winter in FL and sat without running for 4 months. The walls and waterline have calcium on them that feels like sandpaper. We drained and refilled the pool and balanced the water chemistry. Problem is we can’t get the scale off! We put a rescaling chemical in and lowered the PH to 6.5 for two days and then we are bringing it back to normal. Not sure if this will work yet just lowered it today. Any suggestions?

I have a liner pool with the same issues. You can’t scrub it off no matter what you try but we are lowering the PH to 6.5 for 48 hours then rapidly bring it to normal. We have put a descaled in it 4 days ago and doesn’t seem to help at all. I will post results in a few days.
