Maintain your CSI between 0 and -0.3 and you will not get significant build up on your SWCG. I manage my CSI with CH up to 1000 ppm. No scale build up on SWCG ever.

Thanks for this. I have been very confused as many say CH is not important and don't worry about negative CSI. But I think I will heed your advice and CircuPool who says it's important for the SWG.

My signature was added. I have commissioned my pool and working to get CSI close to zero. However, do I need to do this with a vinyl liner? Circupool says so to not corrode the SWG cell. But many say metal corrosion is not a thing with regards to CSI.

I test with Taylor test kits.

You have a vinyl liner. Keep your levels within What Are My Ideal Pool Levels? - Trouble Free Pool

CSI really does not need to be monitored.

Any negative CSI is fine with a vinyl pool and SWG. You don’t need to get your CSI closer to 0.
