Bypass Thermostat

I have a 266K Raypak Gas Heater that is about two years old and I run only occasionally. Last weekend a wire running from thermostat melted. I am now trying to get service and figure out what caused this failure. First issue: how do I "jump" the thermostat temporarily pending repairs?

I would not suggest that. Buy a new one and install it.

NEVER bypass any control in a heater. They are all safety related.
Which wire burned? You need to find out what caused it before you start replacing parts.
