Buying a new cartridge filter

I want to buy a new filter so that I can just swap out when cleaning. I have a Hayward CX200XRE (is says CS200E on the filter but the references seem to use the cx200xre). I’m wondering if anyone has a strong opinion about using any alternative brand. I see Pleatco and Unicel as aternatives and wonder if they are good replacements to original Hayward.

Also wondering if anyone has found a good place to purchase filters.

pleatco or unicel are just as good as the original hayward.
buy whatever you can find in stock this year

I have used Pleatco for the last 4 or 5 years and have had good luck..If you order off amazon check the manufacturer site and verify it's the same filter. I think they will cross reference your part number
I got the wrong filters once and it was a headache to get them returned

On a side note once you find the pleatco number watch the " new and used" ones under amazon..I got a set for $40 off..Just where somebody bought the wrong ones and returned them..Were brand new, one had the clear wrap removed where they tried it.

There was a lot of out of stock in my search, but I did find a Pleatco filter for about $30 less than anything I could find in a Hayward so I went with it. Thanks for the information.
