Burnt wiring at AC Connection Compartment

Hello- we just bought a new house with a salt water pool. The pump stopped functioning several days ago. Today I thought to open the AC Connection compartment on the pump and found this . Is this something that can be fixed or is a whole new pump required?

My guess is that the connections became corroded and this caused them to get hot and burn the incoming wires.

No way to know for sure, but the first thing to do would be to rewire from your control panel (EasyTouch???) and then try the pump and see what happens.. Even if you have to replace the pump, you will still need new AC wiring.
