I can’t seem to find any pictures of what a swg should look like with calcium buildup before it needs to be cleaned.

Right now I can see a like 3-4 small white spots on my swg. I doubt it needs cleaning, but I’m not sure. Manual states to clean when you get a crusty white build up. But how much do they consider a “buildup?”
Also, my CSI pic is attached. Seems to be good I’m Guessing?

Yes, I’m working on the ph lol..

Maintain your CSI between 0 and -0.3 and you will not get significant build up on your SWCG. I manage my CSI with CH up to 1000 ppm. No scale build up on SWCG ever.

Elaborate pls. Im new lol. " I manage my CSI with CH up to 1000 ppm. No scale build up on SWCG ever."

Just put in new figures with a PH of 7.4 and it brings my CSI down to -.35, so Im right on the $$$ there once the ph is lowered..

pH and TA have a great effect on CSI. So you see, by lowering your pH, it lowers your CSI.

Frank, that is very minor scaling. We have seen cells totally plugged with white scale.

Below is a cell with a bit more but still minor scaling.

If you do ever clean the cell, it will fizz like Alka seltzer if it actually needs cleaning. It might even fizz crazier if there is a lot. The second the fizzing is over, it is clean so dump immediately and rinse.
