We have an older house with a buried aerobic septic system with 3 spray heads in the backyard....

Has any tried to build an IGP or AGP near this kind of setup?

How far away does the pool have to be from the tank and the sprinkler heads? Is it possible to move the sprinkler heads or is that outrageously expensive?

You may wish to talk to your local building department. I would think they have specific requirement as to how far an IG or AGP need to be from the septic system.

Actually, it may be the health department who has jurisdiction. Most septic questions come down to square feet of "X". X may be drain field in a normal septic or X may be the area available for the heads to dispers the discharge.

Platon20 we have a septic system and the cit signed off on my pool with no issues other than the pool had to be at least 15-20 feet away. We are still in the process of building so you can see the link in my signature below. Good luck...

My PB said the septic and drainfield should be at least 15 feet, but did not know if there was actually any code. One of the things I considered was the extreme situation of needing to remove/replace the tank. Could a back hoe navigate to the septic tank and comfortably dig it out - without disturbing pool and pool deck.

Mine is anaerobic, so I do not have sprinklers. If I did, I would want those far enough away so that a strong wind would not blow spray anywhere near the pool
