Building a backyard toilet?

Hi I am currently in the early stages of doing the dig for the pool deck for my backyard and I'm wondering if it would be practical to also install an actual fully functioning toilet?

My house is just connected to a regular city sewer line and my backyard does have a sewer clearout that I can connect a pvc pipe to. I also have a good water supply nearby as well. Would it be feasible to run a pipe at a downward slope from the spot where I plan to install my toilet and then have it just go to my sewer clearout? Has anybody done that before? Are there any reasons why this wouldn't work? Also besides having the water supply and a drain pipe that goes to the sewer clearout do I need to setup any other plumbing? I think there may also be a vent that needs to be added?

We did this for the OB pool under construction by having it done as a part of the house. You should be able to do this by connecting into the drain so long as you have enough elevation. You'll want 2% slope down from the location of the toilet. You'll also need a vent for the sink drain. You'll probably need a riser diagram for the permit and will need to update your building permit to show this. It's pretty easy to do. Also don't forget power, lighting, and vent. During covid we got used to bidet's and really like them so we installed an outlet right behind each toilet so you can use the electric add-on bidets that can heat the seat and water. People will probably laugh at this but once you try it you may be surprised at how nice it is. We also have a shower that comes in handy after swimming. You can also do one on the outside wall. Easy add. We also have a good sized cabinet that has all the pool test materials so I don't have to trek through the house for this stuff.

I think adding the bathroom is a great idea and I hope this is helpful.
