I noticed over the weekend that I have a lot of build up on my SWG. My pool is fairly new. Plaster started up in February. I have been battling rising ph since startup. I put around a quart of acid a week. Maybe I need to step up my acid testing and adjustments? Should I try and clean this SWG or just do a better job of keeping ph down?

What is your current TA?
Almost a month ago it was 80.

Keep CSI in the 0.00 to -0.30 range to minimize SWG scaling.
With acid additions to keep pH in check, your TA will come down a little. Work the TA down to 60.
Keep better control of your pH.
