Build issues (maybe)

Hello all new here and new to pools :) so im getting a pool built at home at this last friday was gunite day, they shot the entire pool but one seccion collapse, and instead on shotting it with the hose like they did the previous part the just did by hand, I questioned and was told the it will be as strong as the rest of the pool, here is a video of what im talking about:

after done it looks perfect like nothing ever happened but unfortunately/fortunately i saw it so i want to be sure
 
Your heart must have stopped when you saw that :shock: but it should be fine. So long it was still "wet" and could be put back in place and smoothed then it should be all good. I will check with another member who is a pool builder and see what he has to say about it to make sure.

From my reading of some technical documentation at one time, using rebound (the material that naturally falls to the bottom during application) which this essentially is, would result in a weaker section as Brian mentioned. And this is a substantial area and 100% rebound. I definitely second the suggestion based on what I recall reading.

It is the compaction upon impact of the shotcrete or gunite that gives it added strength over just the material itself.
