Buddy needs help!!

Hey everyone, I have learned sooo much from this site and have told my buddy who just put in a pool to join and read up. He is reasonably knowledgeable on the process and equipment since putting in his pool last summer but hasn’t stalked the site like I have. I was trying to guide him on his heater and heat pump but I am I’ll equipped. Essentially he is trying to connect both to his Intellicenter but is having trouble. He has an Intellicenter i8ps AND IC40 for a 40x16 FG pool.

Heat Pump - Hayward W3HP21004T
Heater (propane) - Raypack B-R266A-EP-X

Anyway to integrate these?

Additionally, he has two PAL lights in his system which he is trying to get control of. It seems he can turn them on and off but cannot change colors. Thoughts?

My thought is those are the the things that don’t work when you mix manufacturers with automation.

He can control one of the heaters using the 2 wire fireman’s switch on the IntelliCenter.

Pentair shows no interest in controlling other manufacturers devices. They have enough challenges making their products work together.
