Bubbles with Pump on Low Speed

I realize this is an older thread — but I have the same issue. I have my pump go into a low RPM from 6pm to 10am. When 10am would roll around and my RPMs would switch to high I would get massive bubbles from my return jets for a little bit.

It may not be a validate thought — but I had a feeling that this massive blast of air Hubble a might put x was pressure on the pipes.

So instead of jumping straight to high speed starting 5 min before 10, I slowly step the speed up every minute. I still get the bubbles but it doesn’t seem as bad.

Welcome to the forum!
Do you have a Variable Speed pump? Does the air build up in the pump basket? Do you have a Satlwater Chlorine Generator? All of those things are relevant to your air issue.
Also, the air being pushed out will not do any harm. Why are you ramping up your pump rpm?
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry.
