I realize this is an older thread — but I have the same issue. I have my pump go into a low RPM from 6pm to 10am. When 10am would roll around and my RPMs would switch to high I would get massive bubbles from my return jets for a little bit.
It may not be a validate thought — but I had a feeling that this massive blast of air Hubble a might put x was pressure on the pipes.
So instead of jumping straight to high speed starting 5 min before 10, I slowly step the speed up every minute. I still get the bubbles but it doesn’t seem as bad.
