I have a pool with a single skimmer/return. I use a skimmer plate and hose when I vacuum the pool. I had the pool plumbing pressure tested a couple of times and there are no leaks. But when I vacuum the pool, I have what appear to be bubbles in the pump basket. I'm pretty sure this isn't a suction side leak, so what does that leave ? Maybe a cavitation phenomenon at the pump - the suction pressure (yes, I know that technically there is no such thing) is so great that the water is boiling/vaporizing in the return line? Can't think of anything else. @mas985 ??
