Have been doing TFP for three weeks and still figuring it out. I vacuumed my pool on Saturday had some stuff on the walls and floor. On Sunday I did an OCLT started at 7.5 that night was 7.0 in the morning. Have kept the FC in range my CYA is 50. Most tests were FC 6.5. But has been cloudy with rain Sunday and Monday. Today was hot sunny FC was 5. I added LC to get to 9 according to pool math. Then brushed the pool. Stuff stirred up but would settle quickly. Pushed it towards bottom drain. By the time I was done brushing it was 30 min. So out of curiosity tested again and FC was 9. I will test in the morning. But wondering after brushing and no FC loss is it algae or dirt.

It's probably dust.
It's not so different than in the house. Dust doesn't just settle on horizontal surfaces -- it sticks to walls and windows, too. Same thing in a pool, I figure.
