My Polaris needed a new hose and connections.
I took off the universal wall fitting from the UWF connector assembly (see New Part pic) but when I put it into the pool wall (see Pool Wall pic) it kept popping off.
I realized the threads in the old universal wall fitting were worn down and could not hold the UWF connector assembly.
I then tried to remove the old universal wall fitting from the pool wall and it broke (see Broken Part pic).
So there are still old threads left in the pool wall.
I guess they glued the universal wall fitting in?
How do I fix this?
Will I have to miss a mortgage payment to have someone come and fix it?

My pool guy wanted $180 for a service call.
I got it done MYSELF ... which is a miracle because I can't do any handy work.
Ended up buying a 1 1/2in DeWalt chisel and I was able to screw it out using channel lock pliers for leverage !!!

OK ... here's my next problem.
The initial wrench I used to try and remove the universal wall fitting fell in the pool.
I was so disgusted and tired that I did not bother to remove the wrench from the bottom of the pool for 2 days.
Now I've got a huge stain on the bottom in the shape of my wrench.
I'm guessing its rust but its not coming up when I scrub it.
Any solutions?
