Hello TFPers. My filter pressure gauge suddenly reads zero. Since by all indications, everything is working (good flow thru skimmers and from returns), can I assume the pressure gauge just needs to be replaced? If so, is this something I can do myself?

Many thanks!

Jean

Jean,

It is either broken or stopped up... You could turn the system off and remove the gauge and make sure it is not plugged up at the bottom...

But, it is almost easer to just buy a new one if you are going to have to take it out anyway... Most likely damaged by a freeze in the winter.

I suggest you get a new Glycerin filled unit from TFtestkits... Cost about $15 bucks and reads in 1/2 lb. increments.. Glycerin filled means it should not freeze in the winter..

Thanks for posting,

Jim R.
