Bought a pool, CYA > 200

Not sure if I would say CYA of 30 is amazing.

CYA is not the devil. Too much of a good thing issues more like.

Keep in mind that CYA properly managed is the only way to keep Cl- in a pool for any reasonable length of time and also makes the Cl- less harsh.

Depending on the pools sun exposure you may want to increase it closer to 40. Personally I am in a southern state and full sun so I added to 50 ppm.

Amazing considering it was >200 and I was thinking that I would only get it down to 60. My pool gets exposure to direct sunlight for 6 hours. I’m not sure what my target CYA should be yet.
