Bonding issue in a pool

Definitely get a good multimeter and check the frequency.

Also, measure the voltage on DC.

Then, measure current through the meter on AC and DC.
I will do that. Still for the last time we had the electric company come out and connect the street light to the RONK on the transformer which takes the pole light off of our house power grid’s ground. That solved the last 6 V of nighttime electricity. Apparently anything else connected onto that ground will transfer through ground to the pool.

As for the pool bonding, it looks like previous owners did a DIY ladder installation and layered cement over the initial ladders hole(that likely connected to rebar). So the new ladder didn’t bond into the system at all. The shallow end ladder still is bonded to the system, but doesn’t touch water, so we tied them together using copper wire and it created continuity between all elements of the pool now.

Hopefully u can come up with a more permanent fix but so glad for u & your family to get this dangerous mystery solved! What a heartbreaking thought to not be able to use that beautiful pool @ your new house!
