My bond wire is a little to short so I need to add on to it. My local electrical splice house gave me a splice but its not made of copper. They said it works for copper. Please see the attached picture. Thank you

These are more "new school" and the split bolt is "old school". They both work fine.

It may also have a marking on it that says Cu or Cu/Al. Ensure it is underground rated also.

If you want to be overkill safe, you could always exothermically weld it! :)

How are the connectors in the first picture "New School "?

A copper split bolt is way better than the aluminum connectors shown.

Aluminum will corrode and the screws are cheap steel that will corrode in no time. They are useless junk.

With a copper split bolt, you can disconnect the wires any time you want.

When the steel screws corrode, you won't be able to take it apart.

The aluminum will disintegrate and be useless.
