I have a spa attached to my pool. All chemicals are pretty well balanced. I ran the spa last night and with the air control fully open and the jets making bubbles there was a very distinct body odor smell from the bubbles. With no bubbles, it was fine. Never had this happen, not sure what would cause that kind of smell? Definitely wasn't me as there was another person in the hot tub and could smell it as well. Could it be something not balanced causing that kind of odor?

My spa has no blower, just an air intake pipe near ground level. Concerned that a curious rodent might get in and not come back out, I installed a shower drain cover at the suction inlet.
I was able to find one that fit perfectly without glue.

@fluff, you might consider sending a long fiber optic camera down that air pipe and see whether there's anything in there.

The blower wasn't even going, just the air venturi providing air for bubbles to the jets...Dont see how anything could get in those small holes...
